Schedule of Events
Tuesday, June 3rd: The Adventure begins
2:00pm: All guests will meet at a central location in Edinburgh (TBA) where transportation will collect you and your luggage. You will be taken to an excursion where you will join the Brides and then continue on to Dunglass Estate for the remainder of the wedding events. Transportation will be provided back to Edinburgh on June 5th. Please inform the Brides in advance if you plan to travel independently to the estate and do not require transportation.
3:00pm: The Brides are thrilled to treat everyone to a Scottish adventure as a welcome gift! Bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes and your lovely selves! Given Scotland’s mercurial weather, it won’t hurt to carry a light jacket or raincoat, just in case! Attire: Casual
5:00pm: Guests will arrive at the Dunglass Estate grounds where you will check into your accommodations and have the opportunity to refresh for the evening’s festivities!
7:00pm: The Bride’s have prepared an alternative version of the American traditional “Rehearsal Dinner.” Expect dinner, drinks, and surprises in a relaxed setting with excellent company and views of the stunning Scottish countryside! Attire: Dressy Casual/Semi-Formal
Attire Request for the Ceremony on June 4th:
The Bride’s would like to include everyone in the wedding color palette and request that guests wear colors in these shades, or something complimentary to them:
Shades of Pinks, Reds, Blues, or Lavender. Other complimentary pastels, silvers, golds, and champagnes are also acceptable. florals, ruffles, fascinators, and formal extravagance welcome and encouraged! the more extra the better!
we ask that ladies please refrain from wearing white or cream.
wednesday, june 4th: “till death do us party”
Breakfast: A continental breakfast will be provided in each cottage as well as groceries such as eggs and bacon if you prefer to cook your own in your fully equipped kitchens!
Lunch: light lunch will also be provided in your cottages around 12pm-1pm
10:00am-3:00pm: This is your free time to relax and explore the estate grounds and/or surrounding areas. There are plenty of incredible sights to see in the area surrounding Dunglass, but please keep in mind you are responsible for any transportation to and from the grounds and Uber/taxis may not be readily available so research and plan in advance if you want to make any special daytime plans!
3:00pm-5:00pm Get ready time! We suggest guests return to the grounds by 3:00pm to ensure they will allow enough time to get ready & make it to the ceremony!
Ceremony Attire: formal/Black tie optional
5:00pm: Champagne reception & Guest arrival at the Dunglass Pavillion
5:45pm: Bagpipe procession to Church begins
6:00pm: Ceremony
6:45pm: Cocktails, Canapés, & family photos
7:45pm: Brides’ entrance & first dance
8:00pm: Dinner
9:00pm: Dancing
9:30pm: Toasts, Speeches, & Cutting of the Cake
10:30pm: More Dancing and More Drinks!
11:45pm: Last call
